CANTON TWP. ‒ The annual Community Holiday Parade and Winterfest returns Dec. 6, presented by Canton Township and Canton Local Schools.

The parade starts at 4:30 p.m. with 77 units.

The route starts at 45th Street and Ridge Avenue, goes north on Cleveland Avenue SW, and ends in the shopping plaza, Southgate Commons.

Winterfest at Faircrest Park follows the parade at 6:30 p.m.

There will be live music and entertainment, a tree-lighting ceremony, Santa Claus, drinks and food trucks, and other family activities.

Township Fiscal Officer John Ring, chairman of the parade committee, and his wife, Donna, a committee member, said the holiday event continues to grow with more parade units.

"We're really excited," Donna Ring said.
