LYNDHURST, Ohio -- Mayor Patrick Ward and Lyndhurst City Council recognized with a proclamation Monday (Nov. 17) a group of six youngsters and two adults, all residents of Eastover Drive, for their kindness and caring for their community.
The adults, Maureen Riley and Randi Gross, recently organized and hosted a garage sale and donated the money taken in to charity. The children, inspired by the garage sale, set up a lemonade stand and used the proceeds from it to give to a “family in need.”
Ward and council recognized young residents Devon Hayes, Troy Hayes, Camille Hayes, Lorelei Carroll-Syracuse, Willow Carroll-Syracuse and Healy Maxwell.
The mayor tied in the recognition for the residents with World Kindness Day, which was observed Nov. 13. Ward said that he plans to recognize acts
