The American Water Charitable Foundation, alongside Indiana American Water, has awarded $34,000 in grants to five Indiana community food distribution centers. These grants aim to support hunger relief efforts amid rising food insecurity.
The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana in Merrillville received $10,000. Second Harvest Food Bank in Muncie and Catholic Charities of Terre Haute Foodbank each got $7,000. Food Finders Food Bank in Lafayette and Great Harvest Food Pantry in New Whiteland/Greenwood received $5,000 each.
