Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola opined that it might be difficult to catch up with table-toppers Arsenal if the Gunners manage to put some distance between themselves and the chasing pack due to the quality in the London-based team.
Title aspirants Arsenal, under the tutelage of Mikel Arteta, Guardiola’s former protege at City, hold a 4-point lead over City at the end of 11 games.
“The truth is a team as strong as Arsenal I have a feeling they will not drop points, so if they go further ahead it will be impossible to catch," the Spaniard said.
“Arsenal are an impeccable team. If they manage to take some distance in points, it will be difficult to catch up. Just like how it went with Liverpool," Guardiola added.
