Delhi’s Air Quality Index remains in the 'very poor' category.
In a significant development, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Saturday approved a revised Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for the entire National Capital Region (NCR) to enable stricter pollution-control measures.
The revised framework, finalised on November 21 after extensive stakeholder consultations, outlines stricter measures at earlier stages of air quality deterioration. The air quality regulator noted that the updated plan is based on scientific evidence, field experience, and expert recommendations accumulated over recent years.
