New Delhi: A power-packed century from Travis Head powered Australia to a massive eight-wicket win over England in the first Ashes Test on Saturday. This happened to be the first Ashes match to finish inside two days since 1921, as the hosts took 1-0 lead in the five-match series in Perth.
Chasing 205 runs, Head ran riot on the English bowling attack with a breathtaking 69-ball century. He did the majority of the work and got out when Australia needed just 13 runs ton win. It was Marnus Labuschagne (51 not out) who took the side home in the 29th over with the hosts chasing the target in just a single session.
