A 71-year-old man and 65-year-old woman appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court last Friday on a string of charges in relation to four horses seized from the pair’s West Pinjarra property by RSPCA WA inspectors.
Rosamund Elizabeth De Zwart and Clifford John Charles Jolley were each charged with six counts of animal cruelty for allegedly failing to provide enough food for the horses and for allegedly allowing two of the horses to suffer untreated medical conditions.
Mr Jolley has also been charged with two counts of failing to comply with a written direction by an RSPCA WA inspector and three counts of obstructing an RSPCA WA inspector.
Ms De Zwart is also facing one charge of failing to comply with a written direction and one of obstruction.
