This is an opinion column

Detractors and drug cartel sympathizers can vocally complain all they want about the sudden change in the war on drugs and the recent destruction of narco-terrorist boats.

But President Trump has made his strategy clear to all: “I don’t think we’re going to necessarily ask for a declaration of war. … I think we’re just going to kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. OK? We’re going to kill them , you know? They’re going to be, like, dead .”

Unless and until the Supreme Court rules otherwise, President Trump has every right as a matter of national security to kill drug cartels and narco-terrorists. Period.

Personally, I applaud America finally fighting back against enemies who kill so many Americans.

It’s about time!
