OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) - Michigan State Police responded to a reported bomb threat on Friday at U.S. Sen. Elissa Slotkin’s home.
According to our affiliate WILX , a spokesperson for Slotkin said she was not home at the time. After searching the property, investigators confirmed everyone was safe.
The spokesperson said Slotkin is grateful for the quick response by Oakland County and Michigan State Police, adding that U.S. Capitol Police will continue to investigate the threat.
According to NBC , the threat comes after President Trump accused her and other Democratic lawmakers of “seditious behavior” that was “punishable by death” after they posted a video this week urging military and intelligence officers to “refuse illegal orders” from the Trump administration.
