A bus fire on the Tappan Zee Bridge is causing significant traffic disruption.
The incident was reported around 1:49 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, on I-87 southbound before Exit 10 on the Tappan Zee Bridge, according to 511NY.
The right and center lanes were shut down as emergency crews responded to the burning vehicle, reported by The Monsey Scoop to be a bus.
More information has not yet been made available.
The new Tappan Zee Bridge's official name is the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. The old bridge's official name was the Gov. Malcolm Wilson Tappan Zee Bridge.
