The owners of a Danbury deli said it's time to say goodbye, but they hope it's a “see you soon.”

Capers Too Deli announced in a Facebook post that it closed its doors on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

"After 5 years and 6 months of hard work, creativity, rebuilding, and reinventing, we brought to life a Capers that had never been seen before. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Danbury, CT, we managed to build a loyal clientele that helped us grow beyond what we ever imagined.

"We made friends and became a family. Many people passed through our doors only a few times, but each left their mark in their own way. We went through highs and lows during the pandemic — and even after, through a time of deep uncertainty — but we stayed open, standing strong."

The post included the Guns N' Roses song "November Rain," which includes the refrain “nothing lasts forever.”

Capers Too earned a 4.6 out of 5 rating on Google Reviews with dozens of positive reviews from customers.

The owners said anyone with a gift card with an outstanding balance should contact them for a refund.

"We are deeply grateful for the support of our community," they said in the Facebook post. "We will see you around — without a doubt."
