DALLAS — One person is dead and another person is wounded after a shooting on Jefferson Boulevard in southern Dallas early Saturday, officials say.

Officers were called to the 300 block of W. Jefferson Boulevard shortly before 1 a.m., where they found two men had been shot, according to a press release.

Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded and took both men to a local hospital where one of them died, police say. Neither of the men were identified.

The investigation into the shooting remains active. No other details about what led up to the shooting or any potential suspects were immediately available.
