YOUNGSTOWN - Three murals painted by Youngstown State University students in 2020 was added to the "Murals Across Ohio" list Friday.

YSU faculty and students from the university's art department joined together on Friday to apply the recognition decal to the Andrews Avenue Memory Mural in Youngstown. Much of the honor goes to the students, YSU Professor of Art Dragana Crnjak told 21 News.

"It's very special. We were very honored to be part of the selection," Crnjak said.

"Murals Across Ohio" is part of the multi-year commemoration America 250-Ohio which invites every county across the state to tell their Ohio stories. The list was created ahead of the United States 250th birthday, highlighting local art.
