There are 'exciting times' ahead for a historic Coventry pub that has recently been acquired by new owners. The Nursery Tavern in Lord Street was once a big part of Coventry's real ale scene - until long term licensees retired several years ago.
In recent years new landlords have struggled to make a success of the Chapelfields establishment, which closed earlier this year after having reopened just a few months prior. Black Country Ales have now purchased the pub taking over from Stonegate.
According to Graham Paine of Coventry CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) the Tavern has struggled in recent years but with new owners and the right licensee at the helm, it could be restored to its former glory.
