The first case under the recently enacted Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2025, has been registered at the Borkheda police station in Kota against two Christian missionaries.
As per the FIR, lodged on Thursday night, two Christian missionaries – Chandi Varghese of Delhi and Arun John of Kota organised a major programme “Atmik Satsang” and lured some Hindus to baptism in Christianity between November 4 and 6.

The district administration has permitted it for the sake of spiritual satsang. However, the two missionaries lured some Hindus to baptism. They were allegedly baptised by sprinkling sacred water and read the baptism pledge.
