BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Charles Bailey (assist), Nick Aversa (assist), Anthony Antenucci and Giancarlo Sears (assist) all netted goals as St. Peter’s varsity ice hockey team blanked St. Francis Prep in a CHSHL A contest Friday night at the Aviator Sports complex.
Joseph Donadio and Nick King added assists as the Eagles improved to 1-1.
Bailey opened the scoring with 6:42 left in the first period after Donadio stole the puck in the neutral zone and fed Bailey for the score.
About a minute later, Bailey and Aversa teamed to set up Antenucci for a beautiful tip-in to make it 2-0.
“We continued to push and 29 seconds later, Sears set up Aversa to make it 3-0,” said Eagles coach Ed Blackburn. “St. Francis called a time out to try to slow the game down.”
