A 13-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Swindon.

The teenager was detained after a woman in her 50s was found dead at a house in Baydon Close , Moredon, on Friday evening. Officers responding to reports of disorder inside the home found the woman, who lived at the address, not breathing. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Police said her next of kin have been informed.

A cordon has been put in place outside the property while officers investigate the circumstances of the woman's death.

Detective Inspector Darren Ambrose, from the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "This is a serious incident in which a woman has sadly died. We have set up a cordon at the address while an investigation is carried out.
