Spanish police in Benidorm arrested a British fugitive convicted of sexually assaulting two people. A British court found the 44-year-old man guilty of the crimes before he absconded.

He had been granted bail and was awaiting sentencing when he fled the UK, prompting British officials to issue an International Arrest Warrant. The man was apprehended after he was spotted behaving suspiciously at his hotel complex by officers from the Policia Nacional. Unable to provide any ID to the police, he was accompanied to his rooms, where officers conducted a search.
