Strictly Come Dancing star La Voix is confirmed to have withdrawn from the series just moments into the annual Blackpool special.

The drag queen, whose non-performer name is Chris Dennis, is the first drag star to compete on the main series of the dancing competition. Over the past two months, La Voix has been competing on the popular BBC programme with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec.

The 45-year-old, whose real name is Christopher Dennis, was initially given a bye to the next round of the competition after the injury was announced last week, but will now go no further on the BBC dancing programme.
