ADI Viveash is expected to again be in charge of Middlesbrough for Tuesday's game against league leaders Coventry City.
There's every chance incoming head coach Kim Hellberg will have been confirmed as the new boss ahead of Tuesday's game, but with such a quick turnaround between the trip to Oxford and the visit of the Sky Blues, Viveash was always likely to continue in the dugout for a third successive game.
If the coming days play out as expected, Hellberg would then take charge of Boro for the first time when Derby visit the Riverside next Saturday.
Viveash has guided Boro to four points from two games after following the victory at Birmingham with a 1-1 draw at Oxford on Saturday.
