A shooting at an annual tree lighting ceremony in Concord, North Carolina, left four people injured on Friday night (November 21). The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Union Street South, approximately 30 miles northeast of Charlotte. According to the Concord Police Department, the shooting was not random and involved two suspects who knew each other.

Concord Police, along with fire and EMS personnel, were already present at the event and responded immediately, providing medical aid and evacuating attendees. Video footage captured before the shooting showed crowds enjoying live music and artificial snow before panic ensued as gunshots rang out .
