Marks & Spencer is contemplating a significant expansion of its food store portfolio, just months after falling victim to a cyber attack. The quintessential British retailer has already started scouting around 500 potential sites across the UK, as it plans a substantial expansion of its food business.

Currently, M&S operates over 300 shops throughout the UK, with most locations being M&S Food outlets in retail parks nationwide. Despite a challenging start to the year, losing £324 million due to a cyber attack that disrupted their services for approximately four months, the company is aiming to recover by doubling their physical store locations in the coming years.
