ROME, Ga. — Senator Colton Moore is expressing a "strong" interest in running for the soon-to-be vacant U.S. House seat in Georgia's 14th district.

This is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's seat who announced her plans to step down from office in January in a video message posted on the social media platform X on Friday.

Senator Moore, who was a rrested earlier this year at the State Capito l, also posted on the same platform, saying he is " seriously considering stepping up to fight alongside President Donald J. Trump to advance the America First agenda that's turning our country around."

He was arrested at the State of the State address in January and charged with willful obstruction of law enforcement officers. He was also banned from the House floor after verbally attacking lat
