ROME, Ga. — Some Rome residents had something to say about Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's resignation announcement.
Rep. Greene posted a video message on the social media platform X to announce her plans to step down from office effective Jan. 5.
"She'll be missed. She's done a lot for our country and the Republican party, and I'm a Republican, glad to say that, and I think she's done an awesome job, and I hate to see her go," said Cathy Bradford Silvercreek.
Not all residents shared the same sentiments. There were some who did not believe the role as House representative suited her.
"She doesn't need to be in office no way, because she has an opinion that only suits her purpose as far as I'm concerned," said Shirley Graham.
