The vibes are high in Toronto right now.

That’s certainly not because of the Toronto Maple Leafs, who sit 27th overall in the NHL standings. It’s because of the red-hot Toronto Raptors.

The Raptors haven’t had a winning season since 2021-22, but they’re off to a hot start this season with an 11-5 record, good for second-place in the Eastern Conference.

They’ve also won six straight and 10 of their last 11 games after defeating the Washington Wizards 140-110 on Friday night at Scotiabank Arena.

Not only are they on a roll, but some of their American-born players seem to be embracing Canadian life.
