PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Arkansas State Police is currently investigating a deadly late night shooting where "three Pine Bluff police officers exchanged gunfire with a suspect."
According to authorities, the incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. on Friday night on 27th Avenue and Maple.
Police said that prior to the shooting incident, officers were in pursuit of the suspect's vehicle after they reportedly saw it speeding down 27th Avenue.
From there, authorities said that the vehicle stopped at 27th and Maple and that three males exited the vehicle.
One of the three males ran between 27th and 28th Avenue and reportedly began "firing at officers" which authorities said led to them firing back at the suspect.
The suspect was shot several times and later died at Jefferson Regional Medical Cent
