After Conor Talty missed another field goal for Alabama football on Saturday, Kalen DeBoer opted to go in a different direction. When the Crimson Tide scored its fourth touchdown of Saturday’s game against Eastern Illinois, late in the second quarter, it was Peter Notaro who DeBoer sent in to kick the extra point.
Talty missed a 28-yarder earlier in the game. He was booed by Crimson Tide fans as he ran off the field, and then again when he came on later to try an extra point.
Notaro made the extra point, making the score 28-0 in favor of Alabama, which was dominating its yearly game against an FCS opponent. Talty was back on for the ensuing kickoff, something he handled last season, even as he wasn’t on the field goal team.
Talty’s miss earlier in the game made him 11-for-18 on fiel
