A "one-of-a-kind father" has died after being hit by a car. Michael Griffiths suffered fatal injuries in a collision on October 22 in Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Police said the 45-year-old, who lived in the area, was hit at 5.50pm on Heol-Y-Sarn opposite the main entrance to the Royal Mint. In a moving tribute his family said: "Michael was a much-loved son, one-of-a-kind father, an irreplaceable big brother to three doting siblings, and a genuine, loyal friend to many.

"We are all deeply saddened to have lost Michael in such a tragic way, but we now want to focus on celebrating the incredible person he was.
