Shoppers watched on as a car burst into flames at the Trafford Centre on Saturday afternoon. Dramatic footage showed the moment the vehicle caught fire on the car park's upper floor.
A small crowd of people gathered as smoke billowed over the Peel Circle section of the shopping centre. Three other vehicles were damaged in the blaze. Firefighters were called to the scene just after 2.30pm.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At just after 2.30pm this afternoon (Saturday 22 November), one fire engine from Eccles Community Fire Station was called to attend a car fire at Peel Circle in Trafford .
"Crews arrived quickly and used one hose reel, one breathing apparatus and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire which involved one vehicle which
