FREDERICK, Md. — Frederick police say they’re investigating after a caller told a radio morning show he’d found a body near what he described as a campsite.
Police confirmed that they’d found what they described as “an individual” in a wooded are off of East Street and Carroll Creek Crossing.
They say there is no threat to the public.
A transcript from the Elliot in the Morning show details the conversation between the man and the radio hosts, who urged him to call the police about finding the body.
The man declined to use his real name, but would only refer to himself as “Joseph.”
He told the hosts he’d discovered the body about 18 days before calling the show.
