AMES, Iowa — Kansas football’s performance Saturday at Iowa State would have been problematic regardless of the Jayhawks’ goal of reaching bowl eligibility.

This was KU’s 11th game of the year. Issues kept popping up, whether that be gap integrity on defense, or missed tackles on defense, or more, that coach Lance Leipold and his coaching staff have had numerous weeks to work on with their players. As he’d note, everything has to be evaluated, whether that’s who’s on the field or how things are being coached, or they’re kidding themselves that it’ll all work itself out.
