Show-Me Central Habitat for Humanity announced Monday the appointment of Jennifer James as its new executive director.
James will lead the nonprofit's operations, fundraising and strategic initiatives aimed at building affordable housing across Boone County and mid-Missouri.
According to a news release, James brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership to the role. She most recently served as director of underwriting services at Missouri Employers Mutual.
She has also spent over a decade in managerial roles with State Farm Fire & Casualty.
James has volunteered with Habitat for years, serving as a board officer and president. She served as a board officer and president and as a 15-year member of the Family Selection Committee, according to the news release.
