"It's going to take a while to sink in," admits Aaron Hickey after playing his part in one of the greatest nights in Scottish football history.
The young right-back was a mere glimmer in his parents' eyes when the national team last qualified for a World Cup. Twenty-eight years on from that French summer of 1998, the Tartan Army will head Stateside in their droves to watch Steve Clarke 's heroes on the biggest stage of them all.
"The World Cup, I watch it whenever it's on," Hickey continued. "I know how big it is and stuff, but unfortunately, I've not seen Scotland since I've been alive. So to now do this, I'm just proud of the team, I'm proud of the boys."
