COLUMBIA, S.C. — With Thanksgiving just days away and Black Friday close behind, shoppers across South Carolina are preparing for what is expected to be one of the busiest holiday shopping seasons in years.
But not everyone feels the same about hitting the stores.
From grocery aisles to checkout lines, the holiday rush is already building. This year, some Columbia residents said they’re approaching their holiday purchases with both excitement and hesitation.
"Holiday shopping this year has been a little different due to a lot of series of events you see happening in the news, so I’ve been pretty particular about how I spend and real mindful because we just don’t know what is to come,” said shopper Gabrielle Hollinshead.
