A woman has been killed by a deer she rescued and attempted to domesticate after it turned on her.

Grandmother Jodi Proger, 64, was killed by the deer on November 15 after she got trapped inside an enclosure with it. She began rescuing deer in 2013 after she watched a doe get killed by a car on a motorway.

Jodi ended up up rescuing the deer's days-old fawn , which had been circling it's mum's body by the side of the road. She previously recounted how she scooped up the newborn and took it away.

She went on to name the fawn Wheezer, and fought to keep him after someone filed a complaint with the O
