RINCON, Ga. (WTOC) - A fundraiser was held Saturday to support Triton, a local boy who was diagnosed with leukemia on September 11 of this year.
His family said he will be in and out of the hospital for the next two and a half years, with hospital stays as long as a month. The fundraiser aimed to raise money for chemotherapy and other expenses.
“It makes you really feel family-oriented and it makes you realize that there’s still humanity out here and kindness out here in this world and that’s what we all need,” said Travis Ross, Triton’s grandfather. “I’d like to thank everybody that came out here today to contribute to this fundraiser and raising awareness for leukemia - not just for Triton but for every kid or every person who is battling this battle.”
