TEXARKANA, Texas – The Fifth Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway hosted by POL CARE handed out 350 turkeys on Saturday morning.

POL CARE stands for Package of Love, Community Always Reaching out to Everyone.

Founder Evelyn Abhulimen said she was grateful for the many volunteers who helped, including the Texarkana College ACTIVATE organization that assisted recipients in carrying turkeys and food boxes.

Also, passed out were canned goods, stuffing, and a bag with food and drink.
