Desert Hills High School volleyball players Annie Gilmore and Presley Decker, who helped lead the Thunder to a recent state championship, have been named co-MVPs of Region 9.
The selections, which were made by a vote of the region’s coaches, were announced earlier this week.
As previously reported , No. 2-seeded Desert Hills defeated top-ranked and two-time defending state champion Orem in four sets in the 4A state championship game on Oct. 28.
Before talking about region co-MVPs Gilmore and Decker, Desert Hills head coach Craig Allred spoke highly of the entire Thunder team.
