Girls basketball: Tallmadge opens season with win

Tallmadge 52, Louisville 37: The visiting Blue Devils got 11 points each from Naomi Richardson and Corrine Pooler to open the season with a victory.

Kent Roosevelt 48, Woodridge 26 : Senior Clair VanDamme scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Rough Riders to a season-opening win at home. Teammate Grace Schoenberger also scored 16 points.

Streetsboro 43, Ellet 37 : Ma'Ryah McIntosh scored 16 points and Carlee Bedford had 15 for the visiting Rockets in a season-opening victory. Kenadie Keith scored 12 points and Saniya Williams had 11 for Ellet (0-1).
