BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Nearly 400 bags of Thanksgiving food were distributed to Clinton County residents Saturday morning as part of a statewide event organized by the Regional Food Bank.
The distribution also took place in other upstate areas including Whitehall and Malone.
Each Thanksgiving meal package included a whole turkey, stuffing and canned goods.
“The purpose of this with the Food Bank is to make sure everyone has a meal on Thanksgiving and it’s just wonderful to see the community giving back,” said Billy Jones, vice president of strategic initiatives and workforce development at Clinton Community College.
A Food Bank official said they plan to return next Thanksgiving.
