COLLEGE PARK, Md. — It was all smiles and celebrations after this one, with Michigan football avoiding an escape act this week.

The Wolverines pounded Maryland, 45-20 , with almost 450 yards of total offense, a balanced attack and, most importantly, zero turnovers.

Quarterback Bryce Underwood bounced back with a nearly flawless performance, going 16 of 23 for 215 yards and two touchdowns, while the Wolverines rushed for 228 yards without Justice Haynes or Jordan Marshall.

The win moves Michigan to 9-2 and 7-1 in Big Ten play, keeping its postseason hopes alive for another week.
