Johannesburg, Nov 23 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, highlighting the “new energy” in the India-UK partnership this year.

Starmer’s recent visit to India as part of the largest UK trade delegation followed Modi’s trip to the UK in July, where they discussed enhancing bilateral ties and signed the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar praised the evolution of the relationship into a dynamic partnership, marking the past year as exceptional. Both leaders adopted Vision 2035 and a Defence Industrial Roadmap to guide future cooperation across key sectors.
