CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- Lily Dykstra racked up 15 kills and survived a scare on Saturday night, needing five sets to defeat fifth-seeded Illinois State in the Missouri Valley Conference volleyball semifinals. The Panthers' win moved their overall conference winning streak to 57 consecutive matches.

Behind Dykstra's strong play, the Panthers overcame a 25-23 loss in the opening set where they dropped a large early lead. UNI rallied to take the second and third 25-18 and 25-23.

Illinois State, however, rallied to take the third 25-23. Ruth Ziegler led the Redbirds with 17 kills in the match.

The Panthers regrouped by opening the decisive fifth set 4-0 and never trailed in a dominant 15-5 win.

UNI will now host Drake on Tuesday night as they'll chase a fourth straight conference tournament
