SLIDELL, La. — A man from Gulfport wanted for his uncle’s murder in Slidell was found and arrested in Florida last weekend, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.

With help from several law enforcement agencies in Florida, 36-year-old Cecil Hall of Gulfport, Mississippi was found Saturday, Nov. 15, in the Miami area driving his uncle’s Tahoe.

Hall was booked into the Miami Dade County Jail on charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, fleeing and eluding, and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

Authorities said he will be brought back to Louisiana once Florida releases him.
