Residents were asked to avoid the area as a shooting investigation unfolded in suburban Aurora Saturday night.

According to Aurora police, the investigation was centered on the 200 block of North Broadway, where a shooting was reported Saturday.

A large police presence was reported in the area around 9:30 p.m., and residents were being asked to avoid the area as the investigation continued.

No information was available on the shooting, or if anyone was struck by gunfire.
