Joe Wos travels more than 200 days out of the year.
The Pittsburgh-based cartoonist takes trips for both business and pleasure. From California to Florida, he has at least five planned for November and December.
The FAA lifted its restrictions on commercial flights Monday, just in time for the Thanksgiving travel rush.
But travelers are still making some adjustments.
Mr. Wos said he plans to arrive a day early for his cruise out of Miami on Dec. 13 in anticipation of potential travel woes, and is booking his flights for comic conventions early enough so that he can drive if necessary.
“The only thing to do is keep moving forward,” he said.
His worst-case-scenario planning had become something of a norm for many as the government shutdown led to cracks in the reliability of air travel
