JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - Tough Players Win. Jackson football’s motto stands strong, with the Indians now 12-0, one game away from the Show-Me Bowl.
The No. 4 Indians defeated No. 1 Christian Brothers 45-42, in a heart-pounding state quarterfinal at The Pit.
Jackson started Saturday’s game on fire. Brysen Wessell ran out, launching a spear into the ground to fire the crowd up, and the fireworks continued on the Indians’ first drive when Drew Parsons connected with Jory Thoma to go up 7-0.
CBC’s offense marched out, but soon marched back to the sidelines, with Boyd Langford and the Indians defense getting a huge sack on 3rd down.
It was Parsons again with the ball, but it seemed disastrous as he fumbled a snap. Somehow, Parsons got the ball back and found Thoma, Thoma running straight downf
