ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Students at Saint Louis University campus are cooking Thanksgiving meals throughout the weekend for their annual “Turkeypalooza.”
The school’s campus kitchen is leading the charge by cooking 25 full turkeys and sides.
The food is set to be distributed to those who are food-insecure.
The group says this year there has been an uptick in need.
“This year, we have especially we have seen a big increase in the need for donations. Organizations are asking for more meals. Different organizations have reached out asking if we can give them grocery boxes, especially because this year has been so tough,” Path Patel, SLU senior and campus kitchen co-president said.
