With Thanksgiving only a few days away, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has alerted travelers ahead of one of the busiest holidays of the year. The TSA remains steadfast even during the government shutdown, with officers being required to come to work without pay, and the FAA's emergency order to cut down flights due to staffing shortages.

But travelers were relieved after the FAA lifted flight restrictions across the U.S. just before Thanksgiving , allowing them to travel to see their families just in time for the holiday period. However, the TSA projected that the "Sunday after Thanksgiving will be one of the busiest travel days in TSA history,” reminding travelers to pack smart, bring a valid ID, and enroll in TSA PreCheck.
