Workers across the UK devote a significant portion of their time to work-related travel.
Employees dedicate over nine months of their lives to work-related travel. Research involving 2,000 commuting workers revealed that the typical person spends more than 52 minutes daily travelling to and from their workplace, accumulating nearly 155 hours annually – equivalent to approximately 19 working days.
Additionally, they dedicate 84 minutes monthly to other work-related journeys, which across a full-time career spanning from 18 to 65 years amounts to nine months. As a result, it's not surprising that 43% see commuting to the office or going on business trips to be one of the things they dislike most about their jobs.
A third said they would prefer to book a local hotel rather than endure
